We initiated Walk for Water with the goal of raising awareness among Canadians about the challenges people in developing countries face to access water. People in rural areas around the world walk hours each day to access to water sources. On World Water Day (March 22), SOPAR-Bala Vikasa mobilizes Canadian and Indian communities to walk in solidarity with those people.

Walk for Water can be organized on or around March 22nd by any community wishing to help us raise funds for our water programs. We invite your school to participate in the Walk for Water by organizing a walk in your community. In 2016, thousands of students walked in their communities in solidarity with millions of people around the world walking to fetch their drinking water.

Walk for Water is a great way to raise funds for your Youth Changing the World Water Project!
