There is a saying that one must see to believe. We organize guided trips to India once a year for Canadians interested in observing, firsthand, the results and quality of SOPAR’s work. These trips are based on the values of solidarity tourism, a form of alternative tourism which enables travelers to help improve the living conditions of communities. Solidarity tourism aims to support development activities while allowing travelers to experience a reality of the country they are visiting which is not easily accessible on traditional tours.
During the 9 day visit, you will stay at the People’s Development Training Centre (PDTC) in Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, where we train thousands of people (including beneficiairies, Bala Vikasa staff, other local NGO staff, and and international practitioners) each year. You will visit village communities and learn about culture, customs and everyday life.
